There is something quite wonderful about a piece of Australian furniture designed more than fifty years ago still being able to surprise you.
Originally designed in 1973, the TH Brown Trend Module Lounge is one of the brand's most distinctive Australian designs. Its generous curves, sculptural upholstered form and sweeping tubular frame made it unmistakable; and more than five decades later, it still feels remarkably relevant.
Today, the design lives on as the TH Brown Outdoor Trend Module Lounge & Footstool, made to order in Adelaide for contemporary Australian outdoor living.
And for Spring 2026, we're having a little fun with it.
Introducing the Outdoor Trend Spring Edit 2026
The new TH Brown Outdoor Trend Spring Edit explores what happens when one iconic design takes on completely different personalities through colour, stripe, texture and frame finish.
We haven't redesigned the Trend. Its original sculptural form remains the hero.
Instead, we've played with the elements around it — outdoor upholstery, colour, woven texture and powder-coated frame finishes.
There are quieter combinations and sophisticated woven stripes. And then there is pink, yellow and a fabulous black-and-white stripe.
Because outdoor furniture doesn't always need to disappear into the landscape.
Sometimes it can be the thing that brings an outdoor space to life.
The Spring hero: Cameo and Pink Sand
At the heart of the Spring Edit is perhaps our most unexpected Outdoor Trend yet: Sunbrella Unwind Cameo paired with a custom Pink Sand frame.
Cameo combines a soft blush tone with a heathered brown stripe and the relaxed character of a linen-inspired weave. We've paired it with a warm Pink Sand tubular frame, powder coated to order here in Adelaide.
It's playful. It's warm. And perhaps a little unexpected for TH Brown.
Which is exactly why I love it.
Stripes made for an Australian summer
Alongside Cameo are two bolder Sunbrella expressions.
Sunbrella Cabana Classic brings a confident black-and-white stripe to the curves of the Outdoor Trend, with a wonderful resort quality and a subtle nod to the graphic optimism of 1970s design.
Sunbrella Sail Away Sunflower takes the same design somewhere completely different. Its yellow-and-white stripe is fresh, optimistic and joyful — the kind of colour that simply feels made for an Australian summer.
Both are paired with Pearl White frames, allowing the stripe and sculptural form to take centre stage.
A softer stripe: Outdoor Trend in Warwick Serengeti
The Warwick Serengeti collection gives the Outdoor Trend another personality again.
Here, the stripe becomes softer, woven and more architectural. The texture follows the generous curves of the lounge and footstool, emphasising rather than competing with the original form.
Serengeti Sand is warm, natural and understated. Gull combines cream and charcoal for a more architectural expression and can be paired with either Pearl White or Matt Black. Sunshine introduces colour while retaining the softer character of a woven stripe.

One of the things I love most about working with the TH Brown archive is seeing just how relevant these designs remain.
We talk a lot about longevity in furniture, and understandably that often means how long something physically lasts.
But I think there is another kind of longevity that matters just as much:
Does a design continue to belong in the way we live?
The Trend does.
Originally conceived as an interior piece, its sculptural form has evolved beautifully for outdoor living. Furniture should feel personal
Perhaps that is ultimately what this collection is about.
We don't all live the same way. Our homes don't look the same. Our gardens, terraces, pools and outdoor spaces shouldn't either.
A black-and-white striped Trend beside a contemporary pool has a completely different character to one upholstered in a quiet natural weave. Put that same design into Pink Sand and Cameo and suddenly it becomes something else again.
Yet underneath it all is the original 1973 TH Brown design.
Still recognisable.
Still relevant.
Still being made here in Adelaide.
